The Hicks Homestead smart-home environment is a private, non-commercial system intended solely for authorized household users and approved integrations.

Authorized use

Use of this service is limited to individuals who have been authorized by the system owner. Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with connected devices, or misuse any linked service.

Connected services

The system may depend on third-party services, including Google, Home Assistant, Nabu Casa, and Cloudflare. Availability and behavior of those services are governed by their respective terms and may change without notice.

No warranty

The service is provided for personal household use on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Smart-home automations may occasionally fail, be delayed, or become unavailable due to network, hardware, software, or third-party service conditions.

Safety

Users remain responsible for the safe operation of physical devices connected to the smart-home system. The service should not be relied upon as the sole means of protecting life, property, or essential services.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the household system or connected integrations change. Continued authorized use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
